Solution

Thermal Oxidizer System

Pollution Source

Off-Gas and Wastewater from CHP Process for Epoxy Propane Project

This thermal oxidizer system is specially designed by Ruiding for the 150,000 tonnes/year CHP process-based epoxy propane project of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation's Tianjin Branch. The CHP process for epoxy propane project has been included in Sinopec's "Ten Dragons" technology breakthrough projects. The utilized CHPPO technology is a new technology independently developed by Sinopec and is applied for the first time in China, holding significant importance for the extension of the petrochemical industry chain and the value-added and efficient utilization of propylene resources.

The thermal oxidizer system has the capacity to treat a total of 2.1 t/h of wastewater and 40,000 Nm³/h of off-gas, overcoming the industry challenges of high flow rates, complex composition, and high concentration of petrochemical waste streams. The thermal oxidizer system designed by Ruiding not only ensures that the treated wastewater and off-gas meet national emission standards but also co-produces approximately 39 tons of superheated steam at 4.0MPaG and 425°C per hour. This superheated steam can be efficiently captured by the heat recovery system and used in the production process to reduce operating costs and improve economic benefits.

The unit occupies an area of approximately 60m by 30m and includes an incinerator, a membrane wall boiler, an off-gas preheater, an air preheater, SCR, a bag filter dust collector, an economizer, a deaerator, etc.
