This project's off-gas regenerative catalytic oxidation system is used for treating the production off-gas of Shandong Qilu Plasticizers Co., Ltd. It is a subsidiary under the domestic Blue Sail Chemical Group, China's largest industrial plasticizer production enterprise, one of the main domestic producers of phthalic anhydride, and also one of the earliest in the industry to adopt sustainable catalytic exhaust gas treatment technology. The off-gas management project of Shandong Qilu Plasticizers Co., Ltd. is contracted by Jiangsu Ruiding Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd.
During the regenerative catalytic oxidation system operating, the off-gas to be pressurized by an off-gas fan after passing through a front-end water seal tank (including a demisting section) and enters the regenerative chamber's heat storage layer to preheat to about 350°C. It then enters the catalytic layer for full oxidative decomposition under the action of the catalyst The off-gas’ temperature from the catalytic bed layer is controlled to reach about 400°C by the electric heating device in the off-gas bifurcation channel, ensuring that the organic components in the off-gas are completely oxidized and decomposed. The treated flue gas then enters another set of regenerative chambers through the flue gas bifurcation channel for a secondary distribution and exchanges heat with the regenerative ceramic fillers. After the heat exchange, the flue gas is emitted to the atmosphere through the chimney, meeting emission standards.
The project is designed to process an off-gas volume of 17,000 Nm³/h, with an off-gas concentration of 2000 mg/Nm³. The main equipment includes a water seal tank, off-gas bifurcation channels, electric heaters, and regenerative catalyzers, among others.
